At Panda Security we are committed to the belief that companies have a responsibility to the society in which we operate and as such, we are actively involved with several organizations.
- The WWF is one of the largest and most effective independent organizations worldwide aimed at preserving wildlife. Its mission is to stop the degradation of the environment, conserve biological diversity, guarantee the use of sustainable and renewable natural resources, and reduce contamination and excessive consumption. Panda supports the initiatives that the WWF implements around the world to protect animals and the natural environment.
- Special Olympics promotes sport as a stimulus and channel of integration for people with learning disabilities. Our collaboration with this organization supports the values in which we strongly believe -perseverance, enthusiasm, the desire to improve-, values which Special Olympics uses sport to encourage among people with learning disabilities. Along similar lines, we also support Invest for Children.
- Sponsorship of the Paralympic athlete Javier Conde, a long-distance runner with a string of successes to his name. These include over 10 World records in distances including 1500 meters, 5000 and 10000.
We also promote and run public awareness campaigns such as ‘Kids on the Web’, a project aimed at promoting safe use of the Internet. The risks inherent on the Internet continue to increase, and children are the most vulnerable. The Internet can often turn from being a game or hobby to a serious problem if children fall prey to any of the numerous threats that lurk on the Web. This campaign provides information and solutions to combat the risks and threats to which children are exposed on the Web.
